Cut vinyl is lettering with nothing around it: each letter and shape is cut from a solid colored vinyl, weeded by hand, and laid on transfer tape so the whole design goes on in one piece. No white box, no printed edge, just the shape on the surface. It is how storefront hours, boat names, DOT numbers, and single color logos have been done for fifty years, because nothing else looks as clean on glass.
Price follows the overall size of the design and the count. Because weeding is hand work, very fine script and tiny text cost more time than a bold block font; we may suggest a small change to keep the price down and the letters intact.

Each line on this page is one color. For a two color logo add two lines at the same size and we register them for you, or ask for a quote and we layer them in the shop.

Frequently asked questions
What is the smallest text you can cut?
About 3/8" tall for a bold sans serif, 1/2" for anything with thin strokes. Smaller than that the letters tear on the weed and do not survive the transfer tape.
How do I apply transfer decals?
Clean the surface, tape the top edge as a hinge, peel the backing, lay it down and squeegee hard, then peel the transfer tape back at a sharp angle. Instructions ship with every order and we install locally on request.
Metallic colors?
Silver and gold metallic are stock. Chrome and reflective are special order, ask for a quote.
How fast will I get my order?
Standard production is 5 business days after proof approval. Need it faster, 3 business days is 50% more and next business day is 100% more, confirmed by the shop after you order. Everything prints and cuts in our Los Angeles shop. Flat rate shipping is $5.95, free over $100, and local pickup in Chatsworth is always free.
Can I reorder the same design later?
Yes. Your artwork and cut file stay on file, so a reorder takes about a minute and matches the first run.
